We provide occupational health services to a number of universities and educational establishments. We provide these services to both staff and students at the various organisations. We are very familiar with the occupational health and wellness needs of both staff and students. We also administer and provide immunisation and vaccination services for students entering health care professions.
Financial
We provide occupational health services to a number of leading financial institutions. These services include sickness absence management products, counselling services, stress management services and training, workplace assessments and corporate health checks.
Manufacturing
Healthwork has a successful track record of providing a variety of occupational health and safety services to employers in the manufacturing industry. We have experience and knowledge of occupational health issues in the manufacturing industry and we are familiar with the problems faced by employers and employees.
We provide occupational health nursing and physician services and we can provide these services either on-site or at our premises. Commonly requested services in the manufacturing sector include health surveillance programme products, sickness absence management products, and provision of counselling and physiotherapy services.
We are aware of the current difficult economic circumstances. We have been working with our clients to improve the cost-effectiveness and value of the services that we provide. We are currently providing services in a flexible manner in consultation with our clients.
Healthcare
Healthwork has a long history of working with a number of NHS trusts (including primary care trusts, acute trusts, and mental health care trusts) and private medical health providers. Our clinicians are familiar with the healthcare environment and have all worked with NHS employers.
Healthwork staff have experience and knowledge of NHS pre-placement health processes, infection control matters, blood borne virus control management, immunisation and vaccination programmes (including flu), absence management in the NHS, rehabilitation, and we have expert knowledge of the NHS Pension Scheme.
Healthwork is familiar with the Boorman Report and we have worked with a number of NHS trusts on implementation of the Boorman recommendations and setting up of wellness initiatives.
Healthwork was the first occupational health service to be awarded SEQOHS accreditation (in May 2011), and we are currently working with our NHS clients to help them with their processes in order to obtain SEQOHS accreditation.
Public Sector
Healthwork has a long and successful history of working with a variety of public sector bodies. These include police forces, fire authorities, a variety of local councils, housing organisations, and a number of central governmental departments.
We provide these services to our clients on employer premises or at our premises. Our occupational health nurses and doctors have years of experience of working with the public sector. We have worked with public sector organisations in all aspects of occupational health provision.
Our clinicians are familiar with the workings of the Local Government Pension Scheme, the Police Pension Scheme, and the Firefighters Pension Scheme. Our physicians can provide independent assessments under these pension schemes as Selected Medical Practitioners (SMP), Independent Qualified Medical Practitioners (IQMP), and as Independent Registered Medical Practitioners (IRMP).
